Dominick French
ABOUT
I am a documentary filmmaker / Director with a passion for making observational and features documentaries that provoke and entertain, exploring people's unique worlds in a highly compelling way. I have been privileged to film with people from all walks of life, from an indigenous tribe in Sumatra fighting to protect their rainforest, to the intimate conversations in a sexual health clinic in Chelsea. I love to work on films that ask big questions about life in Britain today, challenging people's perceptions about society and our relationship with our planet. I have over twenty years experience of documentary film-making of the highest level across different genres, and across the globe.
Much of my work involves filming in challenging environments, around highly sensitive subjects, and challenging access. I have filmed, directed and produced over twenty one hours of critically acclaimed observational and features docs for the BBC, Channel 4 and FIVE. My films regularly surpass the broadcasters anticipated viewing figures and receive rave reviews.
